Finally Became Green!!!

On Saturday April 26th 2008, I became BORNFREE!!:-)

I-485- June 7th 2007

In the meantime I have an emergency need to travel to India by this week or so. How can i travel with out the card in hand? Can I go in my H1-B since I have a valid stamping till 2010? Or is there a way for me to go the local
USCIS office and get it stamped? Please gurus guide me

Congrats.

You can take an info pass to get the I-551 stamp. You could show them the email approval and any other documents (tickets etc.) for your emergency travel.
 
DO NOT USE THE H1B STAMPING FOR ANY REASON!!!!! YOUR GC WILL BECOME INVALID.

Go to the local USCIS office with your travel documents and get it stamped on your passport.I am not really sure if you haven't taken a Infopass apoointment already.You may need some sort of appointment letter to get in. SO go ahead and get an Infopass appointment.
