As per AVM My 485 is approved on May 07. My details are (if I can remember, in a state of excitement)
PD Dec 98
ND Dec 99
RFE Apr 09
RFE response Apr 30 (As per AVM; RFE for employment letter and 2yrs earnings statement)
485 Approved May 07 (As per AVM).
Thanks you one and all for your help. This bulletin board has been very very useful. My special thanks to Rajiv Khanna for making it possible and Bhanu, dan dan, and all active and passive users of this bulletin board for all your help and time.
Lessons I learnt in this process:
1: Hire the best lawyer (Lawyer who is accessible to answer questions)
2: You are responsible for your GC. Hence follow up with lawyer through every step and think of all the questions and ask them.
If you do not show interest, they don\'t care.
3: Do not go with the company lawyer
4: Check out immigrationportal.com
5: Be patient (easier said than done)
I will stick around for some more time (in case I could be of any help to this board), but probably would not log on every 10 minutes. Wow! looks like all of a sudden my day is more than 24 hrs. Will have to figure out what to do with this extra time. I am sure, I will not mind it.
Finally, some more questions (and hopefully the last)
Who gets the approval letter (Lawyer or myself)
What are the documents needed for Passport Stamping
How long does it take to get the cards.
Once again, thank you all for your help.
