Final Approval

Hi All,

I just have one question for you who have overcome this step. It has been over 4 months since I received the recommended approval and I had fingerprints taken. I heard that to receive the final approval depends on background check. So my question right here is how I can check (follow up) on my background check status.

Any suggestion to expedite this process?

Thanks

Did you consult with your lawyer? The thing is I got my approval 7 years ago and final approval took only one month. I am not sure about the new changes.

After the approval decision, it took 2 1/2 months for them to mail my approved letter and I 94 to my home, it was 1998. I hope this helps.

All of the INS processes work in mysterious ways... for example I had my final approval in one month, my brother's was in 3.5 months and some other people I know have been longer....

Once I was approved for permant residency... It has been 8ish months or so and no card yet. In this forum I have seen few folks who have gotten it from as early as within a month and as long as more than an year....

Moral of this story is that at this moment just wait and hopefully there will be good news for you....
