how did you link 485 of NIW to EB1EA

Hi congratulations. This really might have cleared a lot of headaches and sure party time.

could you share the careful steps you followed in linking 484 to EB1-140.
The lawer I am consulting is fond of scaring his clients by saying linking may not work.
also, once my EB1 140 gets a green light, I want to do linking on my own without giving a lawer a chance because he is ready to suck money soaked with my blood and sweat.
thanks

I want to lear from you and other members on this forum

thanks!
I am not the expert to comment on Interlinking, but I followed the steps cited by other members
-I first drafted a formal letter requesting to interlink (be succinct and to the point, not more than a page), and PRINT ON A GLOSSY GOOD LOOKING LETTER HEAD (I got this suggestion from some other on this forum)
-attach the suggested documents like I-485 receipt, I-140 approval etc.
-post it at the center where ur files are: I sent to NSC (because my I-485 files are there) and a copy to TSC (because my I-140 files were at TSC)
-wait for 2-3 weeks and then call USCIS with POJ method, here the luck factor counts. If a nice IO officer picks up the phone, he will make sure that work is done. There is no way to find out who is nice IO but some tips like 'guy giving extra time, not pushing u in rush' 'or saying I apologize kind of words' or 'say that he is going to email the supervisor'. In my case, I called two times, first time lady IO was nice but I think that didnot help much (because there was no LUD even after 1 week talking to her). Two week later, I called again and first time 'customer service picked up and gave general disheartening info'. Second time ' A rather rude IO picked but was upto the point (no sorry or thank you or anything, just to the point questions like what ur I-140 receipt number u want to link to etc etc, and finally hung up with last sentence, I have sent an email to the supervisor and guess what, next day I had an LUD (soft), one week later, next LUD says GC card ordered.
-I was going to try 'congress/senator' approach next week if I have not seen a LUD on my case. Bottomline, luck factor does play a role, but not everything is luck too. We should give our best effort (easy to say than before though :o

I am not trying to take credit for 'successul interlinking guy' but rather rephrasing the sentences wrote from other more invaluable memebrs of this forum, plz type 'interlinking I-485' and go through all the threads, it shouldn't take more than 1-2 days of our time to get all the valuable info

I took help of my invaluable lawyer in filing my I-140 but interlinking part I did it.

how did you get the email of supervisor

Hi! I was just wondering how you got the email of the supervisor who handled your case.

I filed my I-485 mid-last year after my EB-1A has been approved. I talked to a lawyer friend of mine who also processed EB1 & EB2 cases. They filed their cases much later in the year and they already got their greencard last January. He advised me to call customer service to ask for an update re: my AOS application. And all I got from the aloof CS rep was that they are still actively working on my case. I wonder what that meant.

I was thinking of following what you just did: i.e. to call/email the supervisor.

Hoping to hear from you for advise.

hi, i didnot emailed the supervisor directly. Rather used POJ method to reach IO, and 'forced them' TO send an email to supervisor. 'Forcing them' means begging, pleading, explaining in details about the case etc. You would need to call them much frequently to make them open ur case when everything is ready like current PD, name check cleared, FP current etc. i wish u gl!

I-485 receipt date does not like right in your signature

Congratulations! You probably have explained this to others earlier. How did you get a receipt date for your I-485 in 2006 while both your NIW and EB-1 based I-140s were filled in 2007 and 2008? Just curious

Hi, tomy19192001:
I tried to call NSC several times using POJ. Have no idea who is IO or just custom service. What is your opinion of a real "IO"?
Thanks!
