filing with Texas center

Hi there:
I am wondering whether I can still file with the Texas center after today, I have the impression that the Texas center is more efficient than the Nebraska center. what's the consequence if I file my 485 with Texas center anyway. Did anybody notice any trends regarding which cases will be sent to Texas center from the Nebraska center, my lawer told me that 50% of cases will be transferred from nebraska to texas depends on the even day or odd day on which they receive the case.
any suggestions?

After April 1, 2006 you can only file your I-140/I-485 at NSC (http://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/factsheets/bispecph01_24mar06fs.pdf). If you mail it to TSC, they will probably re-route the package to NSC anyway. You can find filing information in the instructions to the forms, http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm.

Oh and according to the more recent fact sheet, http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/factsheets/BiSpec_063006FS.pdf, starting July 24th even standalone I-485s should be filed at NSC. So I'd say, follow the instructions and save yourself some re-routing time. Who knows, you may end up with TSC anyway...
