I got my H1 B approval papers July 24th. I applied in premium processing and got the approval in 7 calendar days from BCIS, Texas.
I have question with regard to filing the I-824 form (Applicaiton for action on an Approved application or petition).
I am planning to go to India, to get my H1B stamped in Chennai in December. But do I have to also file the form I-824 and get its approval?
Can I go directly to Chennai US counsulate and get the visa stamped? Is the filing of the form I-824 complusory?
I have shifted from F1 to the H1B visa.
I request anyone to please throw some light into this issue.
