Is it safe to file the dependent I-485 ( spouse ) on our own and not going through the lawyer.?
I am getting married in April and planning to bring my wife to US in May.
My case is a little complicated as I used AC21 to switch employer . My I-485 was cancelled because the employer withdrew my approved I-140 then I filed for MTR and my I-485 switched to pending status. Its been more than 2 years since my 485 has been filed.
Will it be safe for me to file my spouse's 485 on my own or should I go through the attorney. My attorney is exteremly expensive. I have already spent more than 8K on my process alone with this lawyer.
Please tell me what documents and forms I need to submit if I want to add my spouse to my 485 as a dependent.
