Going to file I-130 and I-485 to Chicago Lockbox on Monday (hopefully).. Just waiting for my birth cert to get here. Thought I'd post a list of what I'm sending to see if you guys think I've covered all bases.. and hopefully avoid getting an RFE...
Birth Cert not listed below but will be included...
Only notarized documents are the ones from friends saying that our marriage is bona fide.
I-130
- I-130 Petition Form
- Photos of me and my wife in a plastic bag stapled to front of I-130.
- Color photocopy of wife's (sponsor) passport page and page with an entry into Hong Kong.
- Beneficiary's divorce decree
- Our marriage certificate (original.. have a few copies of it so not worried about making a copy)
- G-325 for both of us.
- 2 notarized affidavits from people that know us and about our marriage
- Joint lease
- reciept for wedding rings
- Money Order for $190 in my wifes name.
*** I think I might be a bit short on the proof of a bona fide marriage part... Got some photos, cards, letters between us... Should I send those or just bring to interview? Might be able to add wife onto my checking account... Advisable?
I-485
- I-485 form
- two passport photos of me in a bag stampted to front of the I-485.
- Copy of my passport and page from passport with my H1B
- Copy of my H1B extension Notice of Action + I-94 from July last year.
- Medical in sealed envelope
- I-864
- Letter from wife stating she didn't earn enough $ to be required to file taxes (she is my sponsor)
- Copies of my last three W-2's, my 2006 tax return, and last months paystub.
- G-325 for me.
- Single Money Order from me for $395 ($325 + $70 FP fee)
Phew... Any advice?
I'll keep this thread updated with my progress so that it's all in one place and not 10 different threads
