1. I joined Company 'A' in 1999. My i-140 is approved when I left in 2002. Joined company 'B' in 2003. Can I start the GC process from where it was left behind?
Though i am not an expert on these, I can atleast project some problems you might face.
1)If you continue with B, While filing I485, I believe we have to submit employer letter that you cannot use from B. You might get a RFE.
2) Secondly it is better to submit the I140 copy while applying for
I485 which is difficult to do with company B . Also you have to submit the LC that was meant for the company A that you cannot use with company B.
It is safe to go back to the Company A and proceed with the GC procees which is hassle free.
