Filing n-400- The Document Check-list"

Hi

I am at the exciting stage of preparing my N-400 application.

But it is not quite as simple as I hoped and I need some help from the board:


In the guide to naturalization section " documents checklist" which tells you what to include with your application ( eg copy of green card ) there is the following statements


If you answered "YES" to any of the question 1 through 15 in Part 7
then please provide written answers on a spereate sheet of paper

and also it states:

If you answered "no" to any of the quesitons 1 through 5 in part 8
then please provide written answers on a separte sheet of paper

My problem is that Section 7 and 8 in the N-400 dont have numbered questions 1-15 or 1-5
and neither does section 7 or 8 of the guide to naturalization.

So what section 7 and 8 is this referring to ? What connection am I missing ?

Hmm, while the Guide to Naturalization is good for information about eligibility and documents, you are probably better off with the following for filling out your application itself:

This document details a step-by-step on how to fill out each section...

Are you using the 07/23/02 revision of the N400 form - that is the latest one to be used...
