Filing LC and getting married

My company is about to file my LC for GC processing. I am also planning to marry my girlfriend (she is F1 student) this December. Should I wait filing LC until I\'m married or should I just go ahead? Thanks for any info.

You can go ahead with the marriage

You can go ahead with the marriage. Labor cert has nothing to do with the marriage. The concerns related to getting married and bringing wife on H-4 etc. occur during I-485 stage. You have a long way to go.

Adding a spouce on your GC application can be done even as late as on I-485 stage

So I would advice you to file your LC asap. Dependign on which state you are in the LC alone may take atleast 1 year. and then 2-3 months atleast for I-140 and then comes the stage of I-485. This is last stage where you can add spoce to your GC. But if you were to get married in Dec and your LC was still pending then she would have to go on H4 visa unless she gets a job (H1B) or chooses to maintain her F1 status or goes on OPT.
