I am an H1b holder married to a USC. Filed my petition on the 30th of March (sadly before I found this forum).
The form i-130 was sent to the vermont centre whilst the others were sent to the chicago lockbox. After waiting for my checks to get encashed and they didnt, I decided to call to find out what wht status was.
Just found on (via telephone) that the i-130 hasnt being recorded as recieved yet, whilst the other application that was sent to chicago has been rejected (don t have the reason yet cos i dont have the rejection letter).
I just want to ask if a lack of the i-130 is a possible reason for the rejection (since i checked that i was filin concurrently). And if this is the case, what woudl be the best step to take.
Should we re-file everything and resend to Chicago
or should we wait (and hope) the i-130 gets found and processed, then file for the EAD when the i-130 gets approved.
And finally, does this have any effect on refiling. Do i have to get all the medicals done all over or are they sending my forms back to me.
Thanks
