filing I485 while spouse is travelling and is outside USA

Hi,

I have a question regarding I485. I want to know if the paperwork and medical for I485 is complete and the attorney is ready to file 485. At this poing can my wife travel outside USA for 2 months and the application is filed while she is outside USA.

Please advise.

the I485 applicant has to be present in the US on the day I485 is filed.
I would suggest that you file the I485 & wait a couple of weeks & then go to India
 
After I-485 was filed, I guess she has to get advance parole before she left U.S.

I think I-485 is for people in the U.S. for adjust of status. If she is not here, you can only file CP for her.
