Folks

can you please let me know if you are the one or know one who files I 485 on your own? How hard is it?
Do you have to file AP and EAD at same time or can apply it seperately after filing I 485? I have seen forms for these. Does spouse fill all documents seperately?

If you have an attorney representing you how much do they charge for just representing you (filing personnel + spouse=2 people) ?

Thanks in advance

I did file myself, this is easy (if you have approved I-140 or other petition), just read instructions and fill the I-485 form.
You can find samples for cover letter on this forum, basically just list in the cover letter the docs you are submitting.
Your spouse must fill a separate I-485 and attach a copy of your approved petition (I-140), spouses docs will go to separate file but you can mail both in one envelope, write 2 cover letters and separate sets of docs clearly with clips, and attach yellow stickers to each set, yours and spouses.
Do not staple docs, use removable clips.
I think they (USCIS) punch docs from the top (2 holes), so make sure they have space there on the top when you make photocopies for them.
Lawyers fees are different, when I filed it was $ 1500 for main applicand and $ 500 for dependent. Sometimes there is a package. It may or may not include fees for interview if needed later, and fees for possible RFE.

Yes you can file EAD and AP at same time, in same envelope.
Make sure EAD and AP applications laso have all copies (I-140) and are separated clearly with a clip and yellow sticker indication applicants name and petition number on it. Also make cover letters for EAD and AP (separate) explaining you apply at same time as I-485.
