Hi... I was wondering about the best way to go about filing for my I-485. I already sent in all my documentation to the lawyer for filing and they are working on the paperwork. Right now, I am filing for myself. I will be getting married in August and would like to add my spouse on to the AOS process.
I am in EB2 category and I140 has been approved in Feb 04. My priority date is Dec 2002 and visa numbers are CURRENT for my category. My future spouse is already in US on H1 visa. So will I be able to add him on to my process in August? What would happen if my 485 application is approved before that time? Is there a possibility that I can still add him on after the approval? Any information on "follow to join" would also be greatly appreciated. My case will be filed with Nebraska - does anyone have an estimate of how long the 485 approval process would take? The local state office is Milwaukee, WI. So any suggestions and advice would be great. Thanks for the help.
