Filing I 485 on Apr 29th-2001

Hi Guys,

My I-140 (SC) as approved with consular processing as an option. Now my lawyer is filing for an adjustment of status instead of consular processing (Mumbai). Wanted some advice and opinion about
a> Is it okay to file Adjustment of Status instead of Consular processing I> How long does it take to get I-485 approval in California.
I> If I get stuck/delayed in I-485, Can I still do consular processing at a later date.
