Please help me.
I have filed I-140 under EB1A at TSC. I am looking for a faculty position. I am not sure if I need to file I485 concurrently now because I may leave Texas Service Center (TSC) locations after one year. But now I have not decided where to go. Here are my questions:
(1) If I file I-485 at TSC now, and move to other service center locations, and if I inform TSC of my address change when I relocate, will BCIS TSC transfer my I-485 application to other service centers? I asked one lawyer, and he said probably Yes.
(2) If TSC will transfer my I-485 application to another service center, will the other service center use the receipt date assigned by TSC, or will it assign a new receipt date using the date when it receives my I-485 from TSC? If the latter is true, I probably have to wait to file I-485 after I decide where to move. As we know, the BCIS processes application in order of receipt date.
