Filing I-485 for the spouse

Filed for I – 485 (RD: March 04 2002). Have my FP on May 1 2002.
Got married on April 15 2002 and my wife cannot come to US till JUNE 31 2002. What are my options to file for my wife’s I-485 as derivative/follow-to-join so that she can get her GC along with mine.

Can we file for her in India (CP) or it (I-485)can be filed only after her presence in US.

one option could be you can delay your FP till she comes. You can go on any wednsday or saturday till 12 weeks of your schedule FP date.

Check with your lawyers....
