Filing I-485 after entering in DV-2004

Hey!

I recently filed my I-485 application. I entered the country on a B-2 visa, and a month after that, I entered the diversity visa lottery just to try luck. I didn't know I was getting married some time after that. Is it possible that me entering the lottery hurt my chances somehow on the green card? And do I need to mention the fact that I took part in it to the INS?

I would appreciate any info on the issue.

I don't think so. Entering for DV lottery does not mean you are applying to be immigrant. But if you are selected and then you decide to go forward with your application, then INS should be informed when you file AOS based on marriage.

And do I need to mention the fact that I took part in it to the INS?

I don' think so. they don't care unless you file the application for AOS and what-not.
