filing I-140 & I-485, wife join later?

Hi gurus,

Needs your help desperately on this. I am planning file I-140 and I-485 concurrently. My wife is on F-1 visa and we don't want to lose her F-1 right now. Questions are:

Can I add her on I-485 later?

If I can added her on I-485 later, will that delay her GC or she will get the GC with me.

Which step will be the last chance to add her on I-485?

she should not loose F1 status as long as she satisfies all conditions
for F1 like full time enrollment[9 credit hrs I believe] etc..

She would definately require AP to enter once AOS is filed.

What about the case if I do not have a wife yet? When is the latest chance for including a future wife into the GC application process?? I've heard that I could include her at any time prior to I-485 approval - is it right? Does invitation to the first Finger Printing mean that I-485 is close to approval?

Well, you have to become married before your first fingerprint notice comes (they say). Correct, you can add her to your petition anytime before your I-485 is approved.
I am doing the same.
