Filing I-140 from California - I don't reside in California

I don't reside in California, neither I work in California. Can I use my friend's address in California to file I-140 for future employeement.

You need to be really careful with providing your personal information. when you give an address it has to really match with where you live. As long as your employer is in california ( which i assume), it does not matter where you really work or live.
Giving your friend's address might, i say might, end you in loops in future.

Also u are signing the document under penalty of perjury. So think twice before you give your friends address. I would say dont do it.
