I am filing I-131 Re-entry permit Form and have some questions.I hope you guys will help me filling this form.Here are some of my concerns/questions.
1- Part 2 -- It is my understanding that even if you are applying for Reentry Permit (Option a), you need to give the Foreign Address. This is NOT just for Option f . Is it correct ?
2- Part 3 - Can the expected length of the trip can be say 10 months and still apply for this form ? Or it has to be more than 12 months ? I am asking this because instruction guide says that Renentry permit is only for person who are planning to be abroad for 12 months.
3 - Part 3(Next Page now) - This is the most confusing part. Where does NCS send Reentry permit ? Does it not send to US Address ? It looks like not ? Then what is the best address - in terms of option 3(a) and 3(b) ? Is 3(b) a safe option ?The bottom line is that I don't want Reentry Permit to get lost.So which one to choose ?
The other funny(actually not so funny) part is that it says that if you check b or c - give your overseas address - which you have to give in any case in Part 2 -- So why this kind of confusing question ? Your insight please ?
Part 4 - What should be written for purpose of the trip ? Anything goes here or should one be specific.
