Hello

I was reviewing the instructions for I -131 and this is given on page 7 of the form

If you filed a Form I-485, Application to RegisterPermanent Residence or Adjust Status, as of July 30, 2007,no fee is required to also file a request for advance parole on Form I-131. You may file the I-131 concurrently withyour I-485, or you may submit the I-131 at a later date. Ifyou file Form I-131 separately, you must also submit acopy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485 as of July 30, 2007.

Based on this, if we file AOS-485 prior to July 30, 2007, there is no fee needed for I 131?

Thanks

I believe that if you filed your I-485 and it was postmarked prior to July 30, 2007 you will have paid the OLD fees, not the *new* all-inclusive fee which took effect on July 30, 2007.

So, this means you will have to file the I-131 with the *NEW* fee of $300+ dollars... I can't remember the exact price, but it went up from the old fee.

Others can confirm this so you are sure that I am not missing anything.

Thanks for the info Praetorian and BBQChickenRobot

In the I131 form, do you know what the question Class of Admission refers to?

Is it what the applicant was when they entered the US first ?

or most recent status?

Your status when you last entered the US, but if you changed status to something else then put that one instead: Either visitor, student, etc.
