My fiance and I are getting married in the Spring, however, he is trying to get out of his employment contract---could be up to 5 years before he can move to the US. I can't move to his country due to health problems. We are hoping to have his contract problem solved before the wedding or shortly thereafter, but if we cannot.....
Is there a time limit/deadline for filing the I-130 after the marriage takes place abroad?
If there is no time limit/deadline for filing, is there any major problems associated with waiting to file if we have to wait the 5 years?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
