Hello,

I am filing a I130 form for my mother. My father has passed away. My mother is widowed and has not remarried.

In the PDF version of Form I-130:

Part 2 – Address History

# 14a – 15b – I marked 11 as Yes for mailing address being the same as physical address. So, 12a – 13b is now not fillable. If my (petitioner’s) current address is the physical address I have stayed more than 5 years, do I still enter address in Physical Address 2? I am unable to write “PRESENT” in 15b.

Part 4 - Beneficiary Physical Address:

#11a. She lives in an apartment, I didn’t see enough space to write apartment name and name of the road. So unable to write how it matches on her passport. Any guidance?

Part 4 - Beneficiary Marital Information:

#19 – Date of Current Marriage – Since she is a widow and not remarried, does this apply? Should it be the date my parents were married?

Part 4 - Place of Beneficiary Current Marriage:

# 20a – 20d - Since she is a widow and not remarried, does this apply?

Part 4 – Names of Beneficiary’s Spouses:

# 21a. – 21c. Should this be my father’s name? If so, do I have to add the word “LATE” in front of my father’s first name?

# 22 - Date marriage ended – would this be the date he passed away?

Part 4 – Information About Beneficiary’s Family:

# 25a -28 – Do I have to repeat my father’s information here? If so, do I have to add the word “LATE” in front of my father’s first name? If so, in 26- Relationship do I mention “DECEASED HUSBAND”?

Part 4 – Beneficiary’s Employment Information:

#51a – Name of Current Employer - My mother has never worked. So would be it “HOUSEWIFE” or “UNEMPLOYED” or “NONE” or “NONE – HOUSEWIFE”? Any other?

Part 4 – Information about Beneficiary:

#57a-f – Mother tongue is Gujarati (Indian language). Mother is fluent in English. Is this section necessary to be filled out? If so, how?
