filing I-129F form for K-1 visa

I am an US citizen and I plan to get engaged with my high school friend in Nepal in Feb. 2008. I want my fiance to come to US with K-1 visa. We have met within past 12 months.

If I file I-129F form now (September 2007) through Vermont Center then when should I expect it to get approved?

Do I get to choose the date of interview if it gets approved before January?

K-1 processing takes anywhere from 6-12 months..

Consulates usually decide on the date of interview..
