Filing H4 EAD along with H1B and H4 while a standalone H4EAD is pending processing

My Wife's current EAD is valid until 12/15/2025, and her H4 visa and I-94 are valid until 07/31/2026. Since the H4 EAD extension was filed on 07/08/2025, she is eligible for automatic extension. However, as per the current processing timelines, for the standalone H4 EAD applications, it is taking more than 10 months to get the approval. We are planning to file H1B + H4 +H4 EAD again in late January/early February 2026 as our visa is valid only until Jul 2026. Below are my questions for the EAD application to continue the employment.
  1. As we have filed before the current valid H4 EAD, she will be eligible for automation extension. What will happen to the first H4 EAD application if we file another H4 EAD application along with the H1B + H4 application in Jan/Feb 2026.
  2. Since she gets the automatic extension based on the first H4EAD application after December 2025 until 07/31/2026 (I-94 Expiration date), Can she continue working based on the automatic extension even though we file the second H4-EAD application?
  3. Do we need to withdraw the pending first H4EAD application when we file the second H4 EAD application. Also, Is it fine to file second application while the first one is still pending processing?
