Hey guys - pls help me out. I am a US citizen filing a GC application for my mom who lives in Calcutta. How long is the total process for her application going to take via Consular Processing? Is it better to go the CP route or file AOS in the US?? I currently live in Arlington, VA (Vermont Service Center). Thank you all.

AOS is only for people living in US. To my knowledge, there is no AOS for GC applicants living in India.
So, I guess CP is the only route.

{Yes your are right, I am not sure which stage her application is, when she is ready for last stage then you check by the processing dates which one is faster, but in case if she is in last stage now I would advice to go for CP }

If you apply I-130 at Delhi she can come here with GC within month of applying. It is called 'Direct consular filing'. Only problem is you need to stay for two months in India before applying for I-130 which will take around two weeks for the approval. This two months condition was started in June.
If you are planning to apply in India apply at NewDelhi only. It will be faster.

What is direct consular filing? Don't you to send the I-130 application to the service center first? In my case to Vermont. How do you file directly to New Delhi bypassing the Service Centers? My mom lives in Calcutta so I don;t think she can file in Delhi. Thank you.
