I am a post doctoral researcher at a west coast university. I have initiated an application process for self petitoned NIW. My current employer recently decided to make me a permanent job offer as staff at the same university and is willing to sponsor an EB-1 OR petition through the university. I have a few questions on this:
1. Can I have both I-140s filed in the same time at CSC?
2. Are there any benefits (for example being picked up by 90-day pilot program at CSC) by filing either petition concurrently with I-485?
3. Can I concurrently file 485 for both petitions (EB1-OR or EB2-NIW) at the same center? If not which of these might be better to attach I-485 to?
4. Can I choose to attach it to one petition to I-485 initially and later change to the other? Will the 2nd petiton in this case be considered concurrent? Are there any problems with doing this? Or is it better to wait till I know the outcome of one before I file the other in order to take advantage of concurrent filing?
5. How different should the recommendation letters be between EB1-OR or EB2-NIW? If any of you have been in the same situation I would appreciate if you could provide any advice on how you approached this situation.
6. If any folks have any examples of reference letters that you are willing to share I would appreciate of you could send those by PM or email to niw_seeker_2004@yahoo.com. In particular it would be very useful if you have different versions of the same basic letter that you used for different petitons.
