I understand you can still file AOS after indicating CP in I-140. After the file gets transferred to NVC, how long do they retain it. Do they send the petition to the consulate? Is it possible to file 485 after NVC notifies consulate? Will it result in delays because INS has to get file from NVC/consulate? Please provide info.
