Gurus, I am new to the site and I have a few questions.
I had my labor and I-140 done through my employer's attorney. Now it is time to file for my I-485. Is it advisable to go through a lawyer for I-485 or can I do it myself without a lawyer? any downside to doing it yourself or any experiences?

Do I have to send the original birth certificate or just a copy with the application? Do we have to get all the supporting documents(marriage certificate, birth certificate etc.) notarized or is it ok to send without notarizing?

Any good Civil surgeons in Atlanta/chattanooga areas to get a quick medical clearance-and any idea regarding the fees in the area.

thank you

You can file it on your own, no need for an attorney unless there are other complications such as a criminal record. You dont need to send originals coz uscis may keep them. Duncan is right, whatever you do crosscheck your stuff, even lawyers and doctors make mistakes.:D
