Filing 2nd I-140 when I485 pending

Hi Folks,
Is it possible to file a 2nd I-140 petition from a different Company-say Company B,when I485 is in process from Company-A(I-140 already approved from Company A)

Labor was applied with Company B and went to BEC 2 years back and got approved few months back. My I485 with Company A has PD of Jan 2006 whereas Labor approved from Company B has PD of May 2004(EB2). I do not intend to join Company B,but just port the early Pd to current 485.

Is it safe to apply I-140 from Company B?
Would applying for I-140 mean I-485 with Company A will get affected?
Also,since its more than an year since I left Company B,would the I-140 never get through meaning intent to hire by B will be suspected(since I left them already)?

Any expert opinions on this one?
I believe this might be a pretty common situation for many of us who had
one Labor in BEC which was stuck in backlog and then another PERM labor was filed -got approved and went on to file I485 using PERM Labor.
