Filing 2 I485s

Is it possible/legal to file to 2 concurrent applications (140/485) - one with current employer (original labor) and one future employer (using substitute labor) ?

I believe you can have multiple 140 applications but it is not very clear for 485. Also, is it possible to file one of them as 485 and the other consular?

My first 140 with my current employer was denied and we have filed an appeal. My lawyer is now recommending a concurrent 're-file' of 140/EAD and 485 with my current employer. The 'future' employer is just a backup option.

Please post your opinions/experience.

Sure it can be done. Do not forget to mention the A# on second application from the one you get from first.
