Hi, My wife is Canadian, we've been married for over 7 years and she's been living here with me since we were married. She lost her card and submitted form I-90 online tonight to get her replacement card. After we paid the fee and got the forms available for print, she noticed there were a few things that she wasn't asked and were auto populated with the wrong information. One of those items were Country of Birth. It auto populated USA (which is obviously wrong). There were a two other questions (1: Are you in deportation or exclusion preceding. and 2: Since you were granted permanent residence, have you ever filed form I-407, abandonment of status by lawful permanent resident or otherwise have been judged to abandon status. And due to that last question being "unanswered", at the bottom of the form, it's stating that she has to provide reasons for her abandonment.). Obviously, my wife is now EXTREMELY worried that there's going to be issues with the form, or they're going to tell her that she has to leave the country, etc etc. We have 3 kids, all under the age of 6 and she(we) are quite concerned. So the question is, has anyone experienced a similar scenario and what should we do? I'm planning on a call first thing on Monday to the Immigration office, but, yeah... any help to aid in clearing our thoughts would be great. Thanks!
