Filed I-751 around April 8th, received NOA (1 year status extension), 4+ weeks have passed and still no biometric appointment received. I'm traveling roughly 5/30-6/30 and wouldn't like to get my petition denied while I'm not here.

Is it possible that they don't require an biom appointment, because I've done it recently 2years ago? If they do require one (per standard process) is it possible to reschedule it before my trip?

Thanks!

I am in the same boat as you Derfeldan. I filed my I-751 and received my NOA granting the 1 year extension. It's been 4 weeks and still no letter regarding the bio appt SOOOOOO I looked at my receipt letter (I-797) again. It has a note in the body of it stating this:

NOTE: Conditional resident applicants, including conditional resident dependents residing overseas pursuant to military or government orders WILL NOT RECEIVE as ASC appointment notice. To complete biometric processing, these applicants must submit the required items listed on the I-751 form instructions.

Now I am thinking to myself that we do not need to wait for an appointment o_O

Can you check your notice (I-797) form and see if you also have the same NOTE within the body of your letter? If so, do you read it and understand it to say that WE WILL NOT be getting a bio appointment and get back with me as we have been waiting for this appointment so as to move to another state.

Thanks!

No. Are you residing overseas pursuant to military or government orders? If not, then this doesn't apply to you. If you are residing overseas pursuant to military or government orders, then you were required to submit a fingerprint card with your I-751 anyway.

Gotcha. We are in NOLA so it doesn't apply to us. Thanks for responding so quickly. Guess we will be waiting longer :(
