Filed I-130 without I-485

My dad came to U.S.A on 10 yr visitor's visa. I applied for his I-130. I got receipt number but I-130 approval is still pending. I did not know I could file I-485 and I-130 concurrently. Is it possible to file now for I-485 before getting I-130 approved? Do I need to re-file I-130 with I-485 and pay fee for I-130 again? If I file again 485 and 130 again, what happens to already filed I-130?
 
You do not have to file I-130 again. You can file I-485 and include the receipt notice for I-130 in the package, so they would know that I-130 has already been filed.
