Filed 485 on 02/02/01 - which one is better - H1 or EAD

In US for 3 years, so 3 more years left. EB2 category - Filed 485 on 02/02/01. Which one is better - H1 or EAD!!!

I want continue on H1 so I did not file for my EAD, but filed EAD for my wife who wants to work. Currently she is on H4. Is there any problem!!!
In case my employer fires me after 180 days of 485, does it matter to be on H1 or EAD, when I join with new employer with continuation of 485 process!!
Please give me your thoughts.

Thanks for the response on my previous message abot I-485 receipt.

I think you can apply for EAD. If you don\'t want to use it, you can just stay on H-1 with EAD at hand (without actually
use it). You can renew H-1B if you like even if you have applied EAD. Furthermore, there is an excellent comparsion

Both are having some controversy. After filing I-485 Why you
want to switch the job.Whether your Employer is not giving increment
or you are not upgrading your knowledge. Better upgrade your knowledge
and stay with your employer. It is only suggesstion.
