file with officer

I'm a veteran with a 485 ND of sept 2001.
My attorney was recently told that my file is with an officer.
Does that mean GC is near?
Please provide a sense of the time frame or if you can share how much time your application took to be approved after it went to the officer.

I would say it takes 1-2 months after your case got to an Officer. Hopefully, it will be much less.
Mine was about 1 month.

My attorney told me back in May this year that my case is with an officer. Till now, nothing happened yet. still waiting for 2nd FP. That officer must be on maternity leave, and forgot to tranfer all her cases.

My file has been with an officer for ever i guess... These INS folks are a pack of liars... don't believe them.

My case was transferred to SJ after allegedly being 1,5 months with an officer.

i got letter on May 14 that my file was with an officer. It said officer should be given sufficient time and I may not hear anything for the next 45 - 60 days. so far it is 84 days and nothing new.

You should be sending a fax enquiry again after a few days to remind them of your file!
