I had my marriage based I485 interview almost 3 years ago at a local office. After the interview, I was told my file had to go through additional review (background check).
Last week, I received a Code 3 fingerprint from MSC (Missouri Service Center). My last fingerprint was done in 2004. To add to my confusion, when opened a service request on my case, I received a mail telling me that my file is at the MSC
Currently my status indicates, pending at the office it was transferred.
My questions are the following...
1. Does the MSC approve these type of cases? I was under the impression that the local office was the one that approved or denied cases? Remember I have already done my interview at the local office.
2. Has anyone heard of people receiving approval notice from MSC?
3. Has anyone experienced their files being transferred from the local office to MSC?
4. Does receiving my FP notice indicate that my case is almost done or there may be a second interview coming up?
