File on Officer's Desk .....

After following up with Congressman, I was told by Congress Liasion that my file is on officer's desk. It has been a week that it is just sitting there. No change in online status.

How long should I wait before I can follow up again? Anyone here who can guess or have an experience or have noted some facts?

That means your case might have been assigned to an officer. I guess and hope that you may hear approval within three weeks.

I have been through this site to know the statistics. It takes anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks when a file is on officer's desk. Many get approval letter but some time you could get RFE.

Is there anyone who has seen anything else other than this time period.
