File Not received for naturalization interview

Hi

Me and My wife had citizenship interview yesterday, My wife's case was approved yesterday and IO told me that they have to reschedule my interview because they have not received my file yet and i should get anothere interview letter in next 2 to 4 weeks

is there normal ?
is there any one had similar experience?

Not unsual, the file is normally transferred to a local DO, which is the office you and wife went to on yesterday. So, the IO cannot do anything until he/she receives this file from the Service Center. It is normal and you will eventually receive the letter for an interview soon. So, no need to worry about it and they will send it when they do...

A free advise: 2-4 weeks in the language of USCIS is not the same as you and me's 2 to-4 weeks. So, you might have to wait a little longer for LA office to eventually send you the notice for interview. However, enjoy the good news that came with your family, wife is set and passed her interview, and take the positive out of the trip from yesterday. Good luck and let us know when USCIS time frame start to mirror our time frame...
