File I485 while I-140 is still pending after RFE

Hi Guys,

I planned to file I-485. My I-140 is still pending after receiving
RFE from INS. Is it adviceable to file I485 while my I140 is still
pending ?

What will happend if my I140 got denied (not going to happend - thanx god) ?

Please some one help me to answer this question.
