In order to file I-485 by myself, do I need company\'s sponsor letter? If I have got laid off within six months I file I-485, what will happen? If the company does not inform INS I have got laid off, after six months, can I change to another company and get I-485 approved in the future? Your information is highly appreciated

yes, you can file and you do not need company sponsor letter. If you got laid off, after six months you can submit a sponsor letter from second employer. Do,nt worry and go ahead with I 485. My friend did the same.

I think i will be in a similar position but atleast can get employment letter. Could you please describe your friends case? i would really appreciate it.
