file H1B renewal application to the wrong BCIS center

The company I am working for just filed H1B renewal for me.
However, unfortunately, my beloved company attorney filed the renewal application to the wrong BCIS center.
Instead of to CSC, it was sent to VSC by mistake.

The attorney try to smooth out the thing by advising that INS will automatically transfer the case to CSC.

My current H1B is expiring this Month, and I do not know what I should do.
--- file another copy to CSC?
--- write a letter to VCS to ask for transfer?
--- just wait?
--- pray?

Can anyone kindly give me some suggestion?

Waiting-er,
I am in the same situation as you were in Nov. My attorney filed the H1 pettion to Vermont instead of Texas. Can you please reply what happened to your case ? Did your case get transferred or not ? Will they reject the application ?
My 797 is expired and I am worried now . I have filed it for extension, before the expiry but it was filed in the wrong center.
Please help me !!
thanks

In early Feb. 2004, the employer filed H1B premium service request for my renewal case.

The case got approved two weeks after that, and to my surprise, the $1000 premium service fee check is returned.

Strange BCIS system, careless lawyer, ......

During the period, I checked with HR and company lawyer, and was told that there are 240 days graceful period, counting from the expiration day of your 1st H1B, when you still can work in the status of H1B extension application pending.

Best luck to you case.

You should ask the attorney to request a case transfer immediately after the checks are cashed or file a new transfer petition with the correct service center. Ask the attorney to bear the costs.

packet came back

Waiting-er / Jaxen2,
thank you both for replying.

Yesterday my attorney received the packet back from VSC . It was then despatched to the correct center. Check was not cashed .. only loss of time. What can we do ... atleast they sent it back from VSC.
thank you both ,
