Hello, I am a U.S. Citizen and have just returned from Kathmandu, Nepal. I had gone to Kathmandu to marry my fiancé but the earthquake changed our plans. We were set to get married in the Nepali Civil court but due to the earthquake everything is now on hold.
My question is as follows:
What would be the best & quickest process to bring my fiancé to USA:
A) Should I go back to Kathmandu (in July 2015) and marry her there, then return back to USA and apply for Spouse Visa?
Or
B) Apply for her Fiancé visa first then get married after she comes to USA?
Which process would be easier and faster? Also what are some of the basic requirements for this process? What time frame are we looking at.
I will appreciate any advise you can provide.
