Fi- Student Visa for a minor

Hi,
I have a question. I want to get my nephew to study in US on F1 visa in school . He is a minor right now in 7th grade . Can He get F1 visa to study in USA ? If so what is required ?
Please advice... Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, many minor children attend PRIVATE schools in the US under F1 status.

I would get you a link from the USCIS site, but it is down at the moment. Your problem will be to find such a school that is authorized as DSO. But it is allowed. Just make sure it is a PRIVATE school. He is not allowed to attend public school system on F status.
