few questions about Asylum,your help is required.

hi all
I want to apply for asylum and I have few questions:
1-after I fill the asylum application and send it ,when will I have to do the interview? in 2 months?
2-if the case is well-founded and strong ,what is the expected time till the asylum is granted?
3-in case my asylum gets accepted ,can I work immediately? or I will have to wait for the EAD?

1- Once you file for asylum, first, you will get a notice date for fingerprints and pics, so it might take 30 days. Once USCIS collects your fingerprints and pics, USCIS will run a background check, just to make sure you are not a criminal. Once your background is clear, USCIS will send you the date for your interview (15 days).

2- After your interview, IF you were granted asylum, USCIS has between 3-9 months (It depends where you are, some offices have more work to do) to mail you a new i94. Mine came in 3 months and 22 days!

3- Usually when USCIS sends you the new i94, your EAD comes together.

Don't expect anything in less than 2 months! It might take 4,5,6,7,8,9...We never know!
