Felony

I am a permanent resident of the United States, I have been here from childhood. I was convicted of a felony a few years ago and was given probation. I have two kids that was born in the US. I just got a very good job that has some oversea work. What I would like to know is, if I leave the US to work for my company; will I be able to return? And what is going to happen to my green card now? Will it be taken away at any time? The felony was about 6 years ago and I have had no problems after the probation. America is my home, I grew here. Is it possible for immigration just to come get me and send me back to a place that I don\'t know that easily.

felony conviction could be a problem

depending on your crime for which you were convicted, it might be of serious impact. you might wish to contact an immigration attorney prior to making any decision.
