question: The Chinese consulates here have a practice of requiring their citizens obtaining/renewing passports to sign a statement saying that they applied for asylum only for their green cards, that their asylum stories were false and they love greatly the Communist Party etc etc.

According to the rumor mill MANY people actually sign the statement. I personally will not (then again I will not even think about asking for a Chinese passport. What good will a Chinese passport do for me when have a DHS green travel document).

What is the morality of signing such a statement? These people have either lied to the United States Government or the Chinese government.

china is world's no 1 terrorist and it's well documented and it's cos of their track record.
They militarily invaded Tibet in 1949, killed hundreds of thousands and still torturing, occupying Tibet and terrorizing the Tibetans in Tibet. They killed hundreds of their Chinese citizens in Tainaman sqaure and many freedom loving and opposing their own gov's communism rule are tortured and arrested in CHina. Chinese gov supports terrorist regimes like those in Iran,Burma and Sudan and supplies weapons to Talibans in Afganistan and threatens to invade Taiwan.

Sorry, I don't mean to say the ordinary Chinese people are terrorists but just the Government of China and the communist dictator officials of China.

The world doesn't have problem with ordinary Chinese citizens.

it's just the communist gov of China and it's sympathaizers even if Chinese are wrong.
