Here is my situation:
EB-3, RIR, PD 03/2004 (ROW)
I-140 got approved on 04/2007
I-485 RD 07/13/2007
My company was acquired by a big multinational company in 2005. My company kept its name, FEIN, location, etc the same till now. Parent company just notified us that our FEIN # changed to theirs as of January 1st, 2008 (we got notified on Feb 4th).
Now my question is, do I need to amend the approved I-140 ? My attorney says no, but I want to make sure before I take his word for it. As of today, I am passed the 180 day mark for the AC21 portability, but I am confused about parent company saying FEIN # changed before the 180 day mark.
Please help me take the right steps !!!
